A Taste from "The Old Country"

Today we ventured over to Planet Hollywood with Meme to shop and have some lunch. The restaurant selection pretty much sucks over there - we chose a little Italian joint for a quick sandwich and then some extraordinarily expensive gelato. Seeing as my son OBVIOUSLY takes after his fathers side of the family - looking all German and whatever - I try to introduce bits of my heritage, since I am practically right off the boat, from Italy. Just kidding. Bill and I have this silent, but continuous battle with our kids - how fabulous Italy is vs. Germany. Got the German flags in each bedroom that the kids got from Epcot at Disney World, and Hannah and Connor both have Italian swim caps to wear for workout....etc etc etc........It goes on and on from there, how many times have we eaten at Hoffbrauhaus vs. Buca di Beppo...........so on and so forth. Back to today.

Here is my beautiful little guy enjoying his lunch. I can't rightfully say that he is enjoying a panini or anything like that, 'cause it is just yogurt and some fruit - but he is feeling "D'Amor"...

mmm mmmm mmmmm.....

And now for the gelato 'experience'...

His face is precious...

I wonder which one of us he gets his love for all things FOOD, from?????
